3 Week Handcrafted Ceramic

Handmade and Handpainted

Made in Castelli, Italy

Introducing our elegant Flower Girl Cup, adorned with intricate floral designs. Handmade and hand-painted in our Castelli workshop, this piece blends the Bauhaus interpretation of Castelli’s ancient 1500s-1700s ornaments with the vibrant artistic influences of Picasso, Mirò, and Kandinsky from the 1950s. The antique form, featuring a foot and handle typical of Castelli designs, pays homage to Orazio Pompei. This fusion of modern artistry with traditional craftsmanship creates a stunning and unique addition to your collection.

Care Instructions

How do I take care of my ceramic?

We recommend washing your ceramics with warm soapy water and allowing them to air dry. Alternatively, you can clean them in the dishwasher.

Is it normal for the colours on my ceramics to change over time?

Over time, it is perfectly normal for the colours of your ceramics to evolve, especially with frequent use and washing, or when placed in the dishwasher. This natural transformation adds to the charm of imperfection and individuality in your product.

Do you have a warranty?

While we can't offer a traditional warranty due to the one-of-a-kind nature of our ceramics, we prioritise customer satisfaction. If your ceramic arrives broken, please contact us immediately. We'll happily replace it for you, free of charge.

Can I put my Árgillarte products in the dishwasher, oven, and microwave?

Our ceramics are not suitable for oven or microwave use. While they can go in the dishwasher, we advise against it as prolonged exposure to heat and humidity may alter the colour over time.

FAQ

Are your products food safe?

Will my Árgillarte products scratch?

How long does it take to receive my order?

Because our products are handmade in the heart of Italy, please expect delivery times of up to 6-8 weeks for your orders.

Do you ship internationally to other countries?

Our Process

Sustainable sourcing

We believe in the beauty of slow production. Each piece is handcrafted, patiently dried for weeks, and meticulously fired before being hand-painted, not once, but twice for enduring vibrancy. We respect this time-honored process, avoiding excess inventory and ensuring every creation is made with intention.

Ethical labor

We source our clays from regions neighboring Castelli. This minimises transportation footprints and ensures responsible sourcing. Even the vibrant colors adorning our ceramics are carefully chosen. We partner with Italian producers who prioritise sustainability and food safety.

Our signature "castellan colors" - blue, red, orange, and green - are often mixed in our family workshop. This practice not only honors our heritage but also imbues each piece with unique charm.

Transparent values

Argillarte was born from a love for Castelli's artistic legacy. This village has crafted exquisite ceramics for nobility and royalty since the 15th century. Devastating earthquakes threatened to erase this 600-year-old tradition. We support family-run workshops, helping them rebuild and keep the craft alive. Our dream? Seeing Castelli's artistic production on the UNESCO World Heritage List, ensuring its legacy for generations to come.
